A NO HANDS Massage is a fast growing powerful therapy that can relieve stress; while sound baths provide an oasis of calm.

Registered NO HANDS Massage Practitioner Stephanie Hiller explains how it can provide clients with the opportunity to transform, change and let go of stress.

Stephanie said: “Most stress is the result of becoming disconnected from ourselves and our truth. Massage therapy is the most powerful way to reconnect and feel great. There are many different reasons why people opt for a massage treatment, from needing to unwind and release muscular tension to recharging energy levels and a simple physical ‘de-tox’.

“The NO HANDS Massage I practice takes the powerful and ancient therapy of massage to a whole new level."

“Deep and sustained touch can utterly transform your life. Structural imbalances can be put right; areas you didn’t realize were tense loosened, your whole musculature can be pleasurably stretched and restrictions released. The gift of powerful touch can have a profoundly rebalancing effect. Sometimes the ripples from this touch are felt for many years.”

Stephanie explained that touch is the most effective way to rebuild the bridge between mind and body, enabling us to go forward and make the correct decisions in our lives – because of the inner ‘body-wisdom’ that we all have.

“There is something magical about touch and when exhaustion is the issue the right kind of massage can restore us more powerfully and deeply than stimulants.”

However it must be stressed that anyone thinking of having a message should ensure the therapist is fully qualified before booking a session as problems such as injuries can arise if therapists have not undergone professional training.

A Sound Bath; Enjoy Bathing in Waves of Sound

Stephanie offers sound baths to those who feel in need of an alternative type of therapy.

Said Stephanie: “A 'Sound Bath' provides an opportunity for you to totally relax, life outside seems suspended as you float undisturbed on an ocean of sound.

“Participants lie down on the floor and make themselves comfortable on their cushion, blanket or yoga mat, close their eyes and allow the sounds to wash over them.”

The sounds are produced by some of the many unusual and fascinating instruments Stephanie has collected over the years – from gongs to flutes, bells to bowls, rattles to wind chimes and soft drums.

Stephanie continued: “ A ‘Sound Bath’ is a stillpoint in time. Sound waves enable you to be transported on a journey of growth, transformation and healing.

“Inspiration for the spontaneous improvisation of each session comes from a deep connection with nature and the energy of our beautiful planet, as well as an intuitive aligning with the energy of the room and those taking part.”

In April 1998, Stephanie took a massive leap of faith and gave up her office job and set up a full time business as a complementary therapist.

“My interest in healing began when I used to massage my mum’s neck and shoulders at night to relieve the pain of her arthritis. I was also fascinated by all the homeopathic and natural remedies available. I had no idea that massage was something one could choose as a profession. I started my therapeutic training in 1993, beginning with Reflexology.

“I trained in different types of therapies, including Massage, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, Sound Therapy, Nutrition, Bach Flower Remedies, as well as taking numerous short courses to expand and develop my knowledge of the therapies I practice.”

A four-day course left Stephanie so impressed by the power of the NO HANDS approach to massage that she took a further three modules, taking her to the level of Advanced Practitioner. She is participating in their ‘Mastery’ course this year.

“Particular therapies suit different types of people, however, NO HANDS Massage which I now practice exclusively can help many people. It can be easily adapted to suit all ages and types of person and can provide an effective treatment for the young and active, through to the elderly and frail, my oldest client is in his 90’s.”

Stephanie added: “It provides clients with the opportunity to outline specifically what they want from the treatment, leading in some cases to quite profound, life-changing outcomes.

NO HANDS Massage is known as the 'Gentle Giant of Massage' for its gentle yet powerful approach.”
